Overview

Associating Email Templates to Approval allows you to link specific Email templates to existing Approval.

Access the “Approval Configuration“ in application

  • Within the sidebar of Approval for Jira application, you should find a tab "Approval Configuration".

Triggering the Add Email Template Action

  • Click on Action Menu button.

Add Email Template

There are 3 types of E-mail Templates that you need to assign:

  1. Request Email Templates: This configuration is for an Email Template that will be sent to approvers when a new Issue is created.

  2. Approve Transition: This configuration is for an Email Template that will be sent to Approvers when an Approval is approved.

  3. Decline Transition: This configuration is for an Email Template that will be sent to Approvers when an Approval is declined.

Note: There are 2 types of email format available: HTML (format provided) and Free text body (plain text).
