Field Security Project Setting

Users who want to view or edit content must be granted permission. Field Security Project Setting module will allow the administrator to grant permissions to the users, project roles.

The permissions are active throughout Project scope.

To access this module you need to go to the specific project.

Choose Field Security Project Setting:

Interface

In this interface, it will display a table that allows the administrator to observe and configure all custom fields and the button “Sync after modify project role“.

The administrator can click on 'configure' to grant permission for specific custom field. 

Configuration

This interface provides two tags about View Permission, Edit Permission.

The administrator can grant Edit/ View permission to:

1. Any users

2. Project roles

3. Reporter

4. Assignee

Sync after modify project role

The Fields Security Application will store the members in project role of Project on the Jira instance store when the administrator grant permission to projects.

The app uses this data to check permission.

When Jira administrator has modified the project roles, the data members on Jira instance Store will be inconsistent. The button will synchronized members in project roles.
