Overview
Associating Email Templates to Approval allows you to link specific Email templates to existing Approval.
Access the “Approval Configuration“ in application
Within the sidebar of Approval for Jira application, you should find a tab "Approval Configuration".
Triggering the Add Email Template Action
Click on Action Menu button.
Select Add Email Template action.
Add
E-mailEmail Template
There are 3 types of E-mail Templates that you need to assign:
Request Email Templates: This configuration is for an Email Template that will be sent to approvers when a new Issue is created.
Approve Transition: This configuration is for an Email Template that will be sent to Approvers when an Approval is approved.
Decline Transition: This configuration is for an Email Template that will be sent to Approvers when an Approval is declined.

Configure Approval Request E-mail:
Define the email template sent to approvers when a new issue create.
Configure Approve Transition E-mail:
Customize the email template sent to stakeholders when an approval is granted and the request moves forward.
