Configure email sender

Overview
Approval for Jira now offers the ability to customize the email address used to send notifications. By default, the system's default email address is used. However, you can now choose to send notifications from a specific email address of your choice.
1. Access the “Global Page“ module in Jira
Look for the 'Apps' menu on the top toolbar and select it.
Once click that, a dropdown menu will appear. From the list of options, choose 'Approval for Jira'.
2. Overview of the “Project“ tab in Approval for Jira
Selecting the "Email Configuration" tab will take you to the screen displayed below.
The Email Configuration tab provides a detailed overview of the email sender list.
The "Add Email Sender" button enables users to add a new email sender.
The "Action" button enables users to perform actions related to a specific email sender.
There are three options available in the "Action" button.
Revoke: This action enables the user to revoke all authorizations for this email sender, this email sender will be removed from the list.
Enable Global: This action enables users to activate this email sender on a global scale. Once globally enabled, this email sender will be utilized to dispatch notifications to users across all projects and within all approval rules.
Disable Global: This action enables the user to disable the global email sender.
Note:
Only one email sender is enabled globally.
3. Add email sender
Click the "Add Email Sender" button.
The Select Field: This field enables users to select their email authentication method.
Email Text Field: This field enables users enter their email address.
App password Text Field: This field enables users enter the App Password associated with the email address provided above.
Recipient Text Field: This field enables users specify the recipient for sending a test email.
Send Test Email (Optional):
Approval for Jira will send a test email to the address provided in the Recipient Text Field. This process ensures that both the email and app password are valid and usable.
4. Example
Enter the email and app password into the field.
Click the “Send Test Email” button. This will ensure that the email and app password information are correct and that this email can be used.
Once the action is successfully completed, a confirmation email will be sent to the recipient's email address.
The test email has been successfully sent. Click “Authorize” to grant permission for this email.
The results will be displayed in the table.
Enable Global of this email to finish the setup.
Click on "Enable" to proceed.
The email sender is prepared for use.
